Yanling Li Gould, also known as Millie, earned her bachelor’s degree in English for Science and Technology from Harbin Shipbuilding Engineering Institute, her first Master’s degree in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics from the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, and her second Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Yanling is currently working on her Ph.D. in Disability Studies while also working as an interpreter in Early Intervention program in the State of Illinois. She also does freelance simultaneous interpretation for medical appointments, factories, courts, research focus groups and international conferences. She serves on the interpretation team at her beloved CIEFC church. Yanling has over 20 years of experience teaching college students English in China and has privately tutored many international students Chinese. Her first Master’s thesis is on “Factors Influencing Adults Second Language Learning”. She loves language teaching and enjoys doing cross-cultural communication work between the US and China.
李燕玲，也叫Millie，毕业于哈尔滨船舶工程学院获得科技英语专业的学士学位；于上海理工大学获得语言学和应用语言学的硕士学位；于伊利诺大学芝加哥分校获得作业理疗的硕士学位。燕玲目前在攻读残障研究的博士学位，同时也在伊利诺州的早期干预项目做翻译。她有时也兼职做一些医疗、工厂、法庭、科研焦点小组和国际会议的同声传译。她在她所热爱的CIEFC教会的翻译团队服侍。燕玲在中国有20多年的大学英语的教学经验，私下也辅导了很多的国际学生学习汉语。她第一个硕士学位论文的题目就是“影响成年人学习第二语言的因素”。她热爱语言教学，喜欢做中美之间跨文化交流方面的工作。
